The security forces have gunned down a Lashkar terrorist, Adil Ahmed Wani, in an encounter in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Wani had brutally killed a migrant worker (carpenter) from Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) a few days ago in Litter, Pulwama,
According to police officers, Wani was also a district commander of The Resistance Front (TRF), linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Security forces launched a cordon and a search operation in the Dragad area of Shopian district, following information about his presence. Police further added that the search operation turned into an encounter after militants opened fire on the security forces, who, in turn, retaliated.
