When Madhavan argues with a man doing Namaz at airport

“Decoupled”, a Netflix comedy starring R Madhavan and Surveen Chawla has gotten a lot of buzz for its humorous, offbeat take on upper-class metropolitan living. While the show has garnered mixed reviews, it is one clip from the movie that is generating a lot of buzz on social media. In the clip, R Madhavan, who enacts the role of the lead character Arya Iyer in the series, is seen trying to do some stretching exercises in a prayer room at the Delhi airport.

Inside the same room, another man was offering Namaz. The man got frustrated as Madhavan starts his stretching exercise. He stops his Namaz and asks Madhavan to leave the room as it’s a prayer room, not an exercise room.

The man even complains to airport staff, Madhavan, at this point, simply starts doing his stretching exercises while chanting the Gayatri Mantra. The Namaz man, who now cannot argue that Madhavan is not ‘praying’, is left baffled and furious.

In movie, Madhavan plays an outspoken pulp fiction writer Arya while Chawla stars as his corporate suit CEO wife Shruti who decide to call it quits on their marriage but it is not a smooth sailing as the two navigate through their issues, and juggle the constant question of – should they or shouldn’t they be together.
