‘Itna Gussa Kyon Didi’, Modi’s jibe is now a campaign ad song

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday went full throttle against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at a mega rally in Kolkata’s Brigade ground and asked her why she is so angry with him, the Bharatiya Janata Party picked up that phrase and released a campaign ad song “Itna gussa kyon, didi?” poking fun at her.

Taunting Mamata further, during the rally Modi had said that he has been called names like, “Ravana”, “demon”, “monster”, “goon” and sought to know the reason behind the TMC supremo’s “anger”.

“You will remember what has been said about me. Sometimes I was called Ravana, sometimes a demon, sometimes a monster, and sometimes a goon. Didi, why are you so angry?” questioned PM Modi.

Picking the same title, the party from its official handle shared the song “Why are you so angry Didi …? Why are you so angry Didi ? Why are you so angry with everything? And Didi, don’t be angry, pay attention to work! Not revenge, change has come, why are you, angry Didi ?”

The song also cited the TMC Government’s alleged cut money and Saradha scam allegations and spoke about how the ‘blue and whitening’ of Kolkata brought along with it no ‘parivartan’, (change) referring to the official colours of the TMC.

Speaking about the new change, new government and new tomorrow, which West Bengal is inching closer to, the song asks Mamata Banerjee “Itna gussa kyon, didi?”

On Sunday, PM Modi had addressed a massive rally from the iconic Brigade Ground in Kolkata. It was the first rally in West Bengal ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.  Addressing the rally, the prime minister urged people of the state to vote fearlessly for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and against “bad governance”.
