On Wednesday, Param Bir Singh, the Mumbai police commissioner allegedly liked a disrespectful tweet against Kangana Ranaut which asked to publicly shame the Bollywood actress.
National award winner and the leader of the movement to seek justice for the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Kangana Ranaut shared the screenshots to prove the derogatory actions of the Mumbai police commissioner.
While accusing Param Bir Singh of cyberbullying and instigating others to tease and shame her publicly, Kangana Ranaut wrote, “Liking derogatory tweets about people who are fighting against the murderers of Sushant."
“When @CPMumbaiPolice is openly intimidating me like this, encouraging bullying and crime against me, will I be safe in Mumbai? Who is responsible for my safety?”, asked Kangana Ranaut to Mumbai police in another tweet.
A day before this 'out of the blue' act of commissioner Singh, a series of disrespectful graffiti was spotted in Mumbai targetting Kangana Ranaut, ZEE News editor-in-chief Sudhir Choudhary, Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami, and BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra.
A person spotted as “tylerstreetart” created a "Wall of Shame" on the streets of Mumbai and tried to shame the nationalist icons through inscribing their names in graffitis. That person also painted the slogan, "Azadi" while vandalising the public property.
National Convener of BJYM, Devang Dave shared two tweets about the graffitis, "Wall of Shame" and "Azadi" on twitter.
Another twitter user “Neander’thala” had replied on Dave's post that it was not just enough to put the names of Kangana Ranaut on the “Wall of Shame” graffitis, but wanted the artists to draw faces of these nationalistic icons on that graffitis.
Instead of stopping this hatred against Kangana Ranaut, the Mumbai police commissioner liked this comment of “Neander’thala” asking people to tease and publicly shame the Bollywood actress.
Param Bir Singh was leading the investigation of the suicide case of deceased actor Sushant Singh Rajput but he has been receiving a lot of criticism for not able to probe the case fairly.
Whereas Kangana Ranaut has been actively spearheading the campaign to seek justice for Sushant Singh Rajput.
After receiving a lot of criticism for this insensitive act, Mumbai Police has claimed that it never liked any such comment and has asked cyber police to investigate the matter.
