Ansari’s “Taj Mahal” demolished by Yogi government in UP

The UP government it seems is an overdrive to drive fear in the hearts of mafia and dons in the sitate. The authorities in UP have now demolished the illegal property owned by gangster turned BSP MLA Mukhtar Ansari.

Hotel Ghazal, which Mukhtar Ansari often refer to as ‘Taj Mahal’, is situated in Ghazipur district and was operated by Ansari’s wife and son.

SDM Prabhas Kumar earlier has released the orders to demolish the property. Ansari’s son has appealed to the High Court against the order but the board chaired by DM rejected the appeal and allowed the demolition of illegal construction.

The team started the process of evacuation immediately after the orders were released. The police team reached early in the morning. The UP government has earlier also demolished another illegal property in the Dalibagh colony in Lucknow. They had also seized several properties worth Rs. 3.17 crores.

Ansari, who is accused of shooting and killing late BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai in 2005, was booked by Ghazipur police under Gangster and Anti- Social Activities Act and currently lodged in the Mohali jail in Punjab.
