Complaint against Kangana for FIR on sedition charges in Maharashtra
The controversy between Kangana Ranaut and the Shiv Sena has taken a 'sensational' turn as Shiv Sena IT cell lodged a complaint seeking FIR on sedition charges against the actress on Tuesday.
As per reports, the complaint has been registered at Shrinagar Police Station in Thane.
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is receiving this backlash over her recent tweet in which she had compared Mumbai with Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK).
She had tweeted, "Why is Mumbai feeling like Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir?" This tweet was Ranaut's response to the graffiti of Aazadi and the Wall of Shame in the Mumbai streets.
Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput had died on June 14. After the incident, Ranaut had remarked that she felt unsafe in Mumbai.
Shiv Sena, the coalition ruling party of Maharashtra, and its MP Sanjay Raut reacted against Kangana Ranaut by stating she should stay away from Mumbai if she felt unsafe.
Ranaut meanwhile has been granted Y-plus security in view of renewed threat to her.
At present Ranaut is staying in Himachal Pradesh, her native state, and in a tweet, she said that she will return to Mumbai on September 9 and asked to stop her if anybody could.
Ram Kadam, BJP leader had asked the Maharashtra government to provide security to the actress as she wanted to dig out the secrets of drugs nexus in Bollywood.
In her response, Kangana said that she would prefer to take security either from the Centre or Himachal Pradesh government as she does not fear "movie mafia' as much as she does the Mumbai Police.
