In a shocking video, Congress candidate from Ghatampur, Uttar Pradesh, Kripashankar Singh can be seen distributing notes while campaigning for the bypolls. In the video, it is visible that he is taking money out of his pocket and giving it to people, alleges Republicworld.
Police has registered a FIR against him. Bypolls for seven assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh is scheduled for November 3 and results will be declare on November 10.
Of the seven seats, five—Tundla, Ghatampur, Naugaon-Bulandshahr, Deoria, Mathani are having bypolls because of deaths of sitting MLAs.
BJP had won six of the seven seats in 2017.
