Kejriwal’s wife Sunita tests Covid-19 positive; both home quarantined

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita has tested Covid-19 positive. She has isolated herself at home, as has Kejriwal himself. 

Kejriwal suffered from a Covid scare last year. He went into home isolation after a bout of fever and throat pain. His test though turned up negative. 

Several AAP leaders have tested positive for the virus in recent past, including deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, state health minister Satyendar Jain and party spokesperson Raghav Chadha.

The Capital recorded over 23,000 cases today taking the total numbers to 8.77 lakhs.

The metropolis is presently under a six-day lockdown till 5 am next Monday. 

In the last 24 hours, 1,761 deaths have been reported. In India, the positive cases were 2.59 lakh in the last 24 hours. In India presently, 1.53 crore are presently battling the pandemic.
