Migrants exodus from Maharashtra: But now media is silent
While, the country is currently facing the second wave of coronavirus with Maharashtra alone accounting for more than half of the total active caseload of the country.
Amid fears of another complete lockdown in Maharashtra, migrant workers were seen returning to their hometowns once again. The worried labourers can be seen queuing up at various bus stands and railway stations to board buses and trains to get back to their native places.
The incident takes us back to last year when millions of migrant workers streamed on the road to hoof it over to their native places
Interestingly, the media who earlier had ‘strongly condemned’ the central government’s decision of lockdown last year has now turned blind eye and is busy praising Maharashtra government.

The propagandists, who ran a Twitter campaign “#MeTooMigrant, can be seen ignoring the sufferings of the migrant labourers and none of the voices who had passionately slammed the Modi government for the migrant crisis has voiced their concern on the exodus of migrants now.
Also, the same Maharashtra government that has imposed the weekend lockdown, in another stance has also allowed BCCI to continue with the matches scheduled in Mumbai’s Wankhede stadium.
Additionally, it was also revealed that BMC officials were taking bribes and allowing international passengers to escape their mandatory quarantine.
However, it seems that these incriminating facts did nothing to shake the unwavering devotion of cheerleaders to the Thackeray government.
