Now English cricketer Dom Bess’ remarks surface against Indian anthem

Days after Ollie Robinson got suspended in the wake of his old racist tweets, another English cricketer, Dom Bess’s old posts are now being investigated for his racist remarks as a teenager.

Old screenshots of the 23-year-old’s posts have surfaced on social media in which he can be seen mocking fun of India’s national anthem. In the viral Instagram post, the off-spinner writes, ‘one of the funniest national anthems’.

Apart from that, Dom was also seen making fun of former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni in one of his posts. He called Dhoni ‘Stupid “while the latter was busy choosing his bat from 5-6 bats.

The England Cricket Board claimed that racist tweets by a second cricketer have been brought to their attention and they are investigating the case as of now. “It has been brought to our attention that an England player has posted historic offensive material on their social media account. We are looking into it and will make a further comment in due course,” the ECB mentioned in a statement.

Meanwhile, Dom Bess has deactivated his Twitter account after he was included in England’s squad for the second Test match against New Zealand.
