Ola receives one lakh bookings within a day on its new electric scooter

Ola received no less than one lakh bookings within the first 24 hours for the upcoming new electric scooter.

The ride-sharing company opened bookings for its electric scooter on Saturday evening for Rs 499 token amount.

The site crashed because of heavy demand but was restored soon enough.

The first phase of the Ola Future factory is nearing completion and plan to produce 10 million vehicles by 2021.

As per sources, the new Ola electric scooter would hit the Indian market by the end of this month. Besides other features, the new scooter would have an app-based key for a keyless experience.

Ola claims that the scooters will be made in India for the world. “All Ola Scooters are proudly made in India for the world at the Ola Future factory located in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu,” wrote the ridesharing company on their official website.

The company has not yet revealed its original price.
