Plot to kill Swami Narsinghanand uncovered; Police arrest Jaish operative in Delhi





The Delhi Police have arrested a Pulwama-based resident Jan Mohammed Dar after he was allegedly caught planning Swami Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati’s murder on the behalf of Pakistani terrorist organization, Jaish-e-Mohammed. 

The report has mentioned that the police officials arrested Dar from a hotel in the Paharganj area along with several items.

Carpenter by profession, Dar was tasked by Abid, a Jaish-e-Mohammed operative, whom he met in December 2020. Abid brainwashed Dar and encouraged him to join the terrorist organization. On April 21. 2021 he asked him to assassinate the priest for his remarks on the Prophet during a press conference. 

Last month, Yati Narsinghanand has made remarks against Prophet Mohammed and Islam. 

He can be heard saying, “If Muslims come to know about Mohammed’s reality, they will be ashamed to call themselves Muslims,” in the video that went viral on social media.

According to officials, Dar was planning to disguise himself as a priest to kill Swami Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati. He was given training and was Rs. 35,000 in advance to complete the “task”. 

Dar has been arrested previously also for stone-pelting in Jammu and Kashmir in the aftermath of Burhan Wani’s death in 2016.
