Sushant Singh Rajput case: ‘Biggest’ haul seized; alleged kingpin arrested by NCB

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has recovered hashish and cash worth crores during raids at various locations in Mumbai’s post Andheri West area which sources said is the “biggest” seizure of contraband drugs and it’s linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

One Regel Mahakal—on scanner for a long time—has been arrested allegedly a major drugs supplier.

“Today, we have arrested Regel Mahakal we will be producing him in the court. We cannot disclose his links with Rhea Chakraborty and Showik,” said NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede, who is leading the operations.

According to sources, Regel Mahakala used to supply drugs to another accused Anuj Keshwani, who was arrested in September. Keshwani allegedly supplied drugs to Rhea Chakraborty and Sushant Singh Rajput.

Chakraborty and her brother Showik were recently granted bail after being arrested for arranging drugs for Rajput who was found dead in his apartment in June this year.

Mahakal is allegedly connected to a few Bollywood celebrities. Sources said his arrest could unravel the entire chain of supply in the entertainment industry.

Once the probe into Rajput’s death began by multiple agencies, the NCB began a separate investigation into the links. Since then, many have been arrested and questioned by the agency, besides drug suppliers.
