Trinamool has broken all records of corruption: Modi slams Mamata

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Trinamool Congress, accusing the ruling party in West Bengal of “breaking all previous records of harassment and corruption”. The Prime Minister’s remarks came during his visit to Bankura in poll-bound West Bengal where he addressed a rally.

Sharpening his attack on the TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, PM Modi also mentioned graffiti that was going viral on social media earlier this week. The graffiti shows Mamata Banerjee wearing a plaster and kicking the PM’s head.

“Mamata didi can kick my head, but I will not allow her to kick dreams of the people of Bengal,” PM Modi said.

He also said that if CM Mamata Banerjee would have shown her ‘real colours’ 10 years ago, the people of Bengal would never have voted her into power. He alleged that Mamata was anticipating her defeat in the forthcoming assembly election, hence was questioning the functioning of EVMs.

PM Modi accused Mamata Banerjee of getting angry over questions raised by the BJP saying, “The more I ask Didi your questions, the more she gets angry at me. Now she is saying that she does not like my face either. Oh didi, there is no face in democracy, service to the people, work done for the public is the test. Left, Congress and TMC have wasted a lot of time of your previous generations. I can’t let your futures be ruined.”

Adding further to it he said that the BJP will bring the “Ashol Poriborton ” in the state. “After the BJP forms the govt, maa’er pujo hobe, maatir tilak hobe aar manusher somman hobe! Ashol Parivartan – To bring a government in Bengal that will make the money of government schemes reach the poor. Change of Ashol- To bring a government in Bengal which sends tolabas, syndicate to jail, take strict action against the corrupt. Ashol change will be brought by BJP in Bengal,” said the PM.

“Didi you say khela hobe (we will play) but the people of Bengal have decided khela shesh hobe (the game will end)”, he added.

Polling for the 126-member Assam assembly will be held on March 27, April 1 and April 6. The counting  of votes will take place on May 2.
