Two Muslim youths nabbed for looting several temples in Mangalore





The Mangalore police have arrested two people in a case related to thefts in temples and soiling of saffron flag. According to the reports, the two accused, 19-year-old Mohammed Suhail and 21-year-old Nizamuddin, have been nabbed by the police outside Mangalore city. the duo, part of a six-member gang was arrested based on CCTV footage and other inputs. 

While addressing media, police commissioner N Shashi Kumar told them that both the accused have confessed that they have broken open the Hundi of Arasu Mundithaya Temple at Malar in the year 2020. They also confessed to breaking open the Hundi at Madur on January 15. They confessed about committing theft at Derlakatte Aiyappa Swamy Temple Seva counter and soiling saffron flag at Gopalkrishna temple at Perande at Konaje. The police have registered a case in the Konaje Police Station under sections 379, 454, 457 and 295 of the IPC.
