Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday that he has tested positive for Covid-19 and he has self-quarantined himself.
"On observing initial symptoms, I got myself tested for COVID-19 and my report has come positive. I am in self-isolation and following the consultation of physicians. I am performing my work virtually," Adityanath said in a tweet in Hindi today.
The Chief Minister also urged people who came in contact with him in the past few days to get themselves tested and take precaution.
"All activities of the state government are being conducted normally. Meanwhile, all those who have come in contact with me must get themselves tested and take precaution," he said in another tweet.
