Yogi government set to reclaim Kalindi Kunj land from Rohingyas

The Yogi Adityanath government is all set to reclaim Uttar Pradesh’s land from Rohingyas in Kalindi Kunj area of Delhi.

The administration reportedly has provided its nod which means that once the Delhi Police is around to support the irrigation department, the land would be available to the state administration within a week.

The Rohingyas had settled on the land of Zakat Foundation. There was a massive fire in the settlement in April 2018.

The Uttar Pradesh government had allowed them to stay on its land. But the understanding was that it would be vacated soon.

But it has been three years. The Rohingyas, with support from the local AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, started making settlements on the land.

The number of mud houses has also increased from 36 to 50.

The local MLA has also assured them they would not be asked to vacate the land.

There have been multiple complaints from local residents about Rohingyas.
