As Kejri plans Diwali Pujan, Surya quips: One can’t be ‘anti-Hindu’ and be relevant

As Delhi’s chief minister Arvind Kejriwal reveals his grand plan to celebrate Deepawali on Saturday, rising Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Tejaswi Surya is delighted with the turn of events when no leader in the country could be “anti-Hindu” and still be relevant in politics.

Surya said it was the dream of Veer Savarkar to “Hinduise all politics”.  The young leader has extended wishes to the Delhi CM on his Diwali Pujan plans but also termed it as the “new normal.”

Earlier, Kejriwal had tweeted through his party AAP’s twitter handle that he would perform “Diwali Pujan” at Akshardham Temple on November 14 along with his cabinet colleagues.

“Diwali is on the 14th. Lord Ram had returned after 14 years of vanvaas. As two crore Delhites will together perform Lakshmi Pujan, marvellous vibes will be created across Delhi…I will begin the Diwali Pujan at 7.39 pm in Akshardham Mandir. This will be a live telecast, you also switch on the TV and do Diwali pujan at home with us. If everyone in Delhi will pray together, divine vibes will generate and all the citizens of Delhi will be blessed.”

Kejriwal, it must be said, has appealed to people to not burst firecrackers on the occasion of Diwali due to the rising air pollution. This ban on firecrackers has been extended till November 30.
