Who is counting the dead Palestinians?

So how many Palestinians Israel has killed in last nine months?

It’s officially 37,718 killed till this Wednesday.

But wait.

These are the dead who have been identified through name and civil ID number by the health ministry in Gaza.

These of course don’t include those who have been buried alive which must be humongous since Israel thus far has destroyed some 360,000 buildings, of which there are 405 schools and universities, 700 hospitals, 290 mosques and churches. Some 12 buildings are being reduced to rubble every hour.

And what about those who arrived in hospitals in pieces, some headless, some just a piece of leg and hand?

Some who buried their loved ones without bothering to take them to hospitals?

Deaths out of starvation, lack of access to critical medications? Those who are on dialysis (1,100); suffer from cancer (2,000) and over 350,000 who depend on medication for their diabetics, blood pressure and cardio-vascular diseases?

Acute malnutrition of young children? Death out of lack of drinkable water and sanitation infrastructure which is causing rampant jaundice and diarrhoea, scabies and smallpox? Acute respiratory infections?

Those who have been missing? Those who have been captured by Israeli soldiers? Or those who are simply lost?

Have I missed out on something? Oh yes, the Israeli captives themselves who fell in Hamas hands on October 7, 2023.

Of the 240 Israeli captives in Gaza, 50 have been killed by Israel itself while 112 have been released, 105 through negotiated agreements with Hamas.

Only seven have been freed through “rescue” missions.

Since Israel is nowhere close to eliminating Hamas, what conclusions you draw in this scenario:

Wether Israel is intent on genocide in Gaza — or it’s military is completely incompetent?

And what do you make of the statement of a US lawmaker who said sacrificing hundreds of Palestinians for four Israelis is worth it

Not All Lives Matter, you see.
