Isn’t it a good question.
I mean one can’t recall when last Iran was fuming at Zionists and funding proxies to keep Tel Aviv in perpetual war.
So while we read that attacks, howsoever rare, are still being reported on Saudi Arabia and UAE, it’s Israel, supposedly the one which pushed the United States into current war, which is spared of Tehran’s wrath.
Media of course won’t throw any light to its paying readers.
As it won’t on the remaining nine questions you should have for your media:
- Why IRGC is not declared a terrorist organisation by the United Kingdom?
United States declared IRGC a terrorist body in 2019. All 27 European Union nations have deemed IRGC a terrorist organization. Saudi Arabia does it, as well a host of other nations. But the United Kingdom hasn’t named IRGC a terrorist body though overall it has a list of 80 as terrorists bodies.
(2) Why recent raids on IRGC’s assets is not being reported in media?
US treasury secretary Scott Bessent is on an overdrive in tracking, sanctioning and freezing billions of dollars in offshore assets, real estate and cryptocurrency linked to the IRGC across Europe, the Middle East and the UK. It’s present supreme leader Mujtaba Khamenei has 11 mansions on London’s “Billionaire Row” (The Bishop Avenue) and high-end apartments in Kensington. There are hotels, resorts and real estate investments in Germany.
(3) Why Iran is insisting that attacks on Lebanon must cease as part of negotiations to end the war?
And that’s because IRGC is moving, laundering and accessing funds through the Lebanese banking and underground financial sectors. Funds to Hezbollahs for Palestinians is only a narrative. For years hundreds of millions of cash dollars move into Lebanon through physical couriers by IRGC.
(4) If UAE is in Iran’s crosshairs, how come the Gulf nation remains Tehran’s second biggest trading partner after China? Or the “attacks” are mere optics?
Yes, it’s almost 28 billion dollars or almost 22% of Iran’s total trade. UAE is a major economic lifeline for Iran’s heavily sanctioned economy. Besides goods, drugs are often trafficked from Iran to Europe through the UAE. The centre of “shadow banking” is Dubai. Exchange houses and firms facilitate illicit financial flows linked to sanctioned Iranian entities.
(5) If Iran has damaged multiple US military bases in Middle East, how come only 13 American have died? Why we don’t hear of burning fighter jets in hangar or stored missiles smoked?
We have read that 15 of 19 US bases in the Middle East have been heavily damaged by Iranian missile and drone strikes. But if so, how come only 13 of 50,000 US soldiers stationed in these bases have been killed and zero injuries been reported.
(6) Why no media is reporting that sooner than later, Iran would either have to shut down its oil production or burn its oil as it has run out of storage capacity since nothing could move out of Strait of Hormuz through US blockade?
Yes. It’s a fact that Iran is left with two dire choices: Either it starts creating space for oil storage by burning its parked oil or it shuts down its oil production. But if Iran opts to stop oil production, it could mean those oil wells are gone forever. For oil production relies on natural pressure to force the oil to surface. An oil well is not an open pool. Pumping and production of oil is dependent on geological factors.
(7) Almost 70% of Japan’s oil imports come through Strait of Hormuz, 95% of its oil feedstocks from the Middle East. Why has it been silent all through? And even though China buys 90% of Iran’s all crude oil, why it seems more inclined towards the US than towards Tehran?
Japan one could explain for it’s US now where its ships are lining up. China, on the other hand, wants a peaceful Middle East. Iran and its proxies in perpetual conflict with Israel isn’t good for them. China has invested heavily on Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) which is not feasible in an inflamed Middle East. It’s banking on the United States to weed out frictions in the region.
(8) Why Donald Trump insists on taking the “nuclear dust” or buried uranium out of Iran? Why just Iran not having nuclear weapon is not enough for him?
First thing first. For last 40 years, Trump has been consistently saying Iran can’t have a nuclear weapon. Right or wrong, it’s his consistent stance. Further, every particle of uranium has its own finger print which can help identify from where it originated. Trump suspects his enemies in the United States and Europe — some very prominent names — are behind it. Possession of Iranian uranium would help him trace the source. And it would lead him to the doors of his enemies, so it is believed.
(9) Why the present war doesn’t bring any Gulf angle in the equation by media. Are they any less neighbour than Israel is to Iran? Are they mere spectators as if it’s all happening in some faraway land?
It doesn’t make sense. I mean the Gulf nations, some of the wealthiest in the world, extremely high GDP per capita figures, have been completely blanked out of coverage by media. We are told all intelligence inputs on Iran are being provided by Israel. So gulf nations, being harried by Iran for decades, haven’t built its own intelligence network and not shared with the US? Or it serves media to keep the binary of Israel/US vs Iran in focus for its masters?
